While I think that the Ferrari 812 GTS is an amazing car which connects to the roots of Ferrari racing history while still employing progressive and modern technology, it is surpassed in most ways by the other competitors. If you need a supercar that would serve the purpose of being a grand tourer, while still being mind-blowingly fast, the best choice would be a 911 Turbo S. If you need something that you would use for fun or for a racetrack, a better choice would be the Lamborghini Aventador or the McLaren 720s.

The Lamborghini Aventador S is a very similiar story to the Ferrari 812 GTS. They both have massive amounts of power derived from a naturally aspirated V-12 and a huge price tag. However, the Aventador edges it out from a motorsport perspective. The Aventador is nearly 30 seconds faster around the Nürburgring, the famed track in Germany.
Mclaren 720s (2nd Place)
Price: $$299,000
Horsepower: 710 hp
Torque: 568 lb-ft
Weight: 2,937 pounds (1332 kg)
0-60: 2.7 seconds (Carandriver), 2.9 seconds (mfr estimate)

MPG: 15 city 22 highway

Nürburgring Lap Time: 7:08:34
The Mclaren 720s is indubitably the most track focused out of the group. With one of fastest times ever around the Hockenheim GP, it truly has performance that could rival cars like the AMG GT Black series, which was made specifically to be the fastest road-legal car around the Nurburgring. The McLaren is also arguably the best looking, with futuristic styling and aerodynamic curves.
Porsche 911 Turbo S (1st Place)

Horsepower: 640 hp
Torque: 59O lb-ft
Weight: 3,790 pounds (1719 kg)

The 911 Turbo S can be described as a hypercar for 1/5 of the price. With a 0-60 time of 2.2 seconds, it is the second quickest accelerating car after the Porsche 918 spider. It is also one of the most practical, with rear seats, which offer 14 cubic feet of cargo space when folded down. While this jewel from Stuttgart may not be as flamboyant or as ostentatious as the newest from Lamborghini or Ferrari, it is undoubtedly the best all-round supercar you can buy today.
